| dc.description | This work aimed at comparing the quality of the traditional or classroom educative system with the non-traditional conformed by off campus education (EAD from now on) and virtual education in Colombia, due to the fact that each of them use different methodologies, learning strategies and other infrastructure requirements, the results obtained by undergraduate students in the SABER PRO 2010 test were used. The central idea was to determine the existence of statistically significant differences between the traditional and non-traditional education modalities (EAD and Virtual) in terms of quality, more specifically at academic performance level. | |
| dc.description | En esta investigación se buscó comparar la calidad del sistema educativo tradicional o presencial frente a la no tradicional, integrada por la educación a distancia (en adelante EAD) y la educación virtual en Colombia, debido a que cada una de estas modalidades presenta diferentes metodologías y estrategias de aprendizaje y otros requerimientos de infraestructura, para lo cual se tomaron los resultados obtenidos por los estudiantes de pregrado en la prueba SABER PRO 2010. La idea central fue determinar la existencia o no de diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre las modalidades de educación profesional tradicional y la no tradicional (EAD y virtual), en términos de calidad, puntualmente a nivel de desempeño académico. | |
