dc.descriptionThe aim of this document is to design a maintenance program based on a RCM analysis with the purpose of enhancing the performance of Cerro Matoso 777G mine trucks. It starts showing the factors that leaded us to select RCM as a tool to improve the reliability and availability of these equipment’s (such as the decrease of the ore reserves, the irregular distribution of the mine ore, the fall of the nickel prices since 2011 to 2016, the demerger of South32 by BHP Billiton, and the new guidelines of the organization). Initially, the interaction between the organization (considering the guidelines and management tools), the company business units involved into the mine process and the stakeholders will be described briefly in the first chapters. Maintenance methodologies (including Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, Time Based Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance and Business Based Maintenance) will be exposed. Although only RCM will be deepened. In addition, some key performance indicators will be explained and proposed to be used in the maintenance program (such as mean time between failures, mean time between shutdowns, mean time to repair and availability). The methodology that were used to determine the maintenance plan, started explaining the operative context (mainly work and environmental conditions), also the truck itself was explained (by describing their principal systems functions and what they do). A failure modes and effects analysis will be done (including the use of the decision diagram). It will help us to determine the component stocktaking and the preventive actions to take into account in the maintenance program.es_ES
