dc.description	Resumen Marqués de Someruelos La inestabilidad creada en la monarquía hispánica tras la penetración en la península Ibérica por las tropas napoleónicas en 1807, la posterior ruptura de la legalidad producida tras la defenestración de los Borbones y la ascensión en el trono de España de José Bonaparte en 1808, tuvieron unas consecuencias directas sobre los dominios españoles en América. La isla de Cuba contó con un jefe político y militar con una larga experiencia al frente del territorio que le permitió enfrentar las dificultades creadas con un criterio político propio. Palabras claves: La Habana, política, juntismo, exaltación, patriotismo.Abstract The instability created in the Hispanic monarchy after penetration in the Iberian Peninsula by Napoleon's troops in 1807, the subsequent breakdown of law produced after the sacking of the Bourbons and the ascension to the throne of Spain Joseph Bonaparte in 1808, had a direct impact on the Spanish dominions in America. The Island of Cuba had a political and military leader with extensive experience as head of territory that allowed him to face the difficulties created by a political criterion itself, Governor and Captain-General Marquis de Someruelos.
