    Resumen
The main objective of the research is to analyze the affective factors that might be influencing performance in oral interaction in L2 among a group of undergraduate students with an introductory level (English 3) at Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar (UTB). Since this is a qualitative descriptive research, some qualitative methods and instruments have been utilized in order to collect relevant data that may describe the students´ opinions regarding the main goal. It was demonstrated here that affective factors like motivation, anxiety, self-esteem and even fear have been affecting their oral performance in L2. Besides, some academic aspects like lack of vocabulary, lack of study and very basic knowledge of the language have been observed thanks to this research. In short, I would like to highlight that what makes possible having classroom activities that increase student-talk and promote interaction among students for communicative purposes is having motivated and actively involved students in the classroom. Then, affect can also improve language teaching and learning, as well as it can contribute to educating learners effectively
