DISEÑO E IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE UN SISTEMA DE GESTIÓN DE INVENTARIO A TRAVÉS DE UNA APLICACIÓN EN EXCEL EN LA EMPRESA ALMACEN Y DISTRIBUIDORA GONZALEZ S.A.S

Abstract

La empresa Almacén y Distribuidora González S.A.S ha llevado a cabo de forma intuitiva el reabastecimiento de mercancía, lo cual ha ocasionado que la empresa tenga una gran cantidad de producto almacenado generando altos costos de manteniendo. Por esta razón se ha diseñado un sistema de gestión de inventarios con el fin de que permita disminuir los costos de almacén, para ello fue necesario realizar una serie de actividades. Como primer paso se realizaron estudios como lo fue el análisis ABC para determinar qué artículos tienen mayor incidencia en el inventario, los cinco productos seleccionados fueron: estuche de bebe, conjunto de bebe, pijama de bebe, ropa interior de dama y pañal estampado. Seguidamente se realizó un estudio de la demanda de dichos productos y pronósticos de demanda para obtener un estimado de la demanda en el futuro; en todos los casos se seleccionó el modelo ARIMA. Por último, se determinó los distintos sistemas de reabastecimiento que seguían los productos; se seleccionó el sistema de revisión continua para todos los productos. Como soporte para la buena utilización del sistema se diseñó un aplicativo basado en la herramienta de Excel, mediante el uso de formularios y macro. Se realizó la entrega de la aplicación con un manual de usuario detallando el uso correcto del sistema para quién sea asignado como encargado del almacén, facilitando su ejecución. Con esto se obtuvieron disminuciones en el inventario. Para cada producto la disminución fue: • Estuche de bebe el inventario disminuyó un 14,5% • Conjunto de bebe el inventario disminuyó un 15,57% • Pijama de bebe el inventario disminuyó un 35,08% • Ropa interior de dama el inventario disminuyó un 41.94% • Pañal estampado el inventario disminuyó un 39,23%

The company Almacén y Distribuidora González S.A.S has intuitively carried out the resupply of merchandise, which has caused the company to have a large amount of stored product generating high maintenance costs. For this reason, an inventory management system were designed in order to reduce warehouse costs, for which it was necessary to implement a series of activities. As a first step, studies such as the ABC analysis was realized to determine which products have a greater impact on the inventory, five products were selected, and these were baby case, baby set, baby pajamas, woman’s underwear and printed diaper. Next, a study of the demand for these products and demand forecasts was carried out to obtain an estimate of the demand in the future; in all of the cases the ARIMA model was selected. Finally, the different resupply systems that followed the products were determined; the continuous review system for all products was selected. To support the proper use of the system, an application based on the Excel tool was designed, using forms and macro. The application was delivered with a user manual detailing the correct use of the system for who is assigned as warehouse manager, facilitating its execution. With this, decreases in the inventory were obtained. For each product the percentage were: • Baby case inventory decreased by 14.5% • Set of baby inventory decreased by 15.57% • Baby pajamas inventory decreased by 35.08% • Lady’s underwear inventory decreased 41.94% • Stamped diaper inventory decreased 39.23%
