dc.description	ResumenEl debate sobre la autenticidad aún no finaliza. Por querer restaurar, rehabilitar, revitalizar y reconstruir el centro sobre el centro, asistimos al nacimiento de nuevos espacios centrales, prácticamente fabricados de una sola pieza a partir de un supuesto modelo de centro histórico. ¿Cuál entonces? Algunos sitios urbanos perduraron varios siglos renovándose siempre e imponen una difícil elección entre la conservación de los vestigios más antiguos o la conservación de edificios más recientes, pero en mejor estado. La valorización de uno u otro período, con base en modas arquitecturales o prioridades de identidad, no puede ser disminuida e impregna nuestros centros antiguos. Pero, actualmente, una nueva tendencia parece diseñarse sobre la base de centros históricos adaptados a nuestras esperanzas de ambientes urbanos recompuestos, por ser agradables y estéticos y, si es posible, culturales y lúdicos.AbstractThe debate on the authenticity of the built heritage is not just over. The rush to recover, rebuild, revitalize downtown over the downtown area we are face to the birth of new spaces fabricated solely from an assumed model of the historical center. What are we left with?. Some urban areas have been constantly reshaping themselves thus making it a difficult propositionto chose between the conservation of the oldest historical buildings or the permanence of newer ones but in a much better shape. The cultural judgment of any historical period based on architectural fads or identity politics cannot be overlooked. But currently there is a renew tendency to have historical downtowns adapted to the priorities of urban environs reconstituted, enjoyable and culturally meaningful.
