dc.description	ResumenLa Cumbre de Guadalajara ha mostrado la vitalidad de las relacionesentre la Unión Europea y América Latina y el Caribe, enparte a través de un proceso preparatorio en el que se han implicadoun gran número de actores, gubernamentales y no gubernamentales,y en particular de la sociedad civil, aunque ésta no goce del debidoreconocimiento. Este artículo presenta los antecedentes de la Cumbrede Guadalajara (2004) y analiza las consecuencias de la guerra enIrak y la estrategia estadounidense frente al terrorismo global y susimplicaciones en América Latina y el Caribe.AbstractThe Summit of Guadalajara has shown to the vitality of the relationsbetween the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean, partlythrough a preparatory process in which they have implied a great number ofactors, governmental and nongovernmental, and in individual of the civilsociety, although this one nonenjoyment of the due recognition. This articlepresents/displays the antecedents of the Summit of Guadalajara (2004)and analyzes the consequences of the war in Iraq and the American strategyfront to the global terrorism and its implications in Latin America and theCaribbean.
