AI-Pan: máquina expendedora de productos de panadería potencializada con inteligencia artificial

Abstract

En este proyecto presenta un proceso de diseño e implementación hacia una máquina expendedora en el que se integran tecnologías con el fin de potencializarla, como es la inteligencia artificial (IA) usando el lenguaje Python para su integración al diseño. Se tuvo como eje principal del proyecto la IA para lograr una comunicación hombre-máquina más personalizable, gracias a la integración de esta clase de tecnología se logró hacer que la máquina de respuestas a los usuarios dependiendo de sus necesidades. En la primera fase del proyecto, se exploró las posibles variables a atacar con el fin de tener un diseño apropiado con tecnologías que sean útiles. Se eligió que el método que mejor se adaptaba a una máquina expendedora con IA debía tener una interacción por voz. Además, se abarcó alternativas para así elegir la mejor tecnología. Por ejemplo, para la IA utilizada fueron 2; texto generativo y Embeddings. En la segunda fase del proyecto, se implementaron los conocimientos y tecnologías adquiridas y elegidas en la anterior fase. Los resultados experimentales muestran que el funcionamiento correcto general de la máquina este alrededor de un 90%. La propuesta contemplada en la primera fase demuestra robustez en la construcción general del sistema como también la parte mecánica. Además, se realizó una encuesta sobre el user experience (UX). En esta encuesta las respuestas recibidas por parte de los usuarios dejan en evidencia que la máquina expendedora potenciada con IA funciona correctamente, hay zonas de mejora como podría ser la velocidad de respuesta y el reconocimiento de voz. En líneas generales cumple con las expectativas que se plantearon al principio del proyecto donde una máquina expendedora pueda ser más personalizable y por ende más cercano a tener una experiencia humana común. Este trabajo contribuye al avance en la aplicación de IA en otro campo de trabajo ofreciendo perspectivas diferentes para futuros trabajos y desarrollos.

This project presents a design and implementation process for a vending machine in which technologies are integrated in order to enhance its potential, such as artificial intelligence (AI) using the Python language for its integration into the design. The main axis of the project was AI to achieve a more customizable human-machine communication, thanks to the integration of this kind of technology, it was possible to make the machine give answers to the users depending on their needs. In the first phase of the project, we explored the possible variables to attack in order to have an appropriate design with technologies that are useful. It was chosen that the method best suited to a vending machine with AI should have voice interaction. In addition, alternatives were covered in order to choose the best technology. For example, for the AI used there were 2; generative text and Embeddings. In the second phase of the project, the knowledge and technologies acquired and chosen in the previous phase were implemented. The experimental results show that the overall correct operation of the machine is around 90%. The proposal contemplated in the first phase demonstrates robustness in the general construction of the system as well as the mechanical part. In addition, a user experience (UX) survey was conducted. In this survey, the responses received from the users show that the AI-powered vending machine works properly, there are areas for improvement such as the speed of response and voice recognition. Overall it meets the expectations that were raised at the beginning of the project where a vending machine can be more customizable and thus closer to having a common human experience. This work contributes to the advancement in the application of AI in another field of work offering different perspectives for future work and developments.
