Terminal de transporte intermunicipal en la ciudad de barranquilla. INTERURBANA S.A.S

Abstract

Barranquilla se caracteriza por ser una de las principales ciudades en la región y el país en términos de contribución al desarrollo económico y número de población. La dinámica de crecimiento de la ciudad ha promovido múltiples beneficios a la región, sin embargo, también ha traído consigo algunos problemas que requieren la intervención oportuna para garantizar la competitividad. La situación actual muestra que muchos usuarios de las diferentes rutas intermunicipales realizan diariamente transbordos que ponen en riesgo su integridad. Así mismo, los conductores de los buses parquean sus vehículos en puntos no autorizados por el Distrito, generando caos y contaminación de diversos tipos en el centro de Barranquilla. Con el fin de poner fin a los problemas previamente enlistados, INTERURBANA S.A.S realiza un estudio de factibilidad de una alternativa técnica y económicamente viable. Se pudo concluir que la mejor manera de satisfacer las necesidades presentes consiste en la construcción de una terminal de transporte intermunicipal capaz de atender de forma satisfactoria a los usuarios que demandan el servicio. Su posición estratégica permitirá agrupar en un solo espacio la llegada y salida de todas las rutas de transporte intermunicipal del sur del Atlántico mencionadas, permitiendo a los usuarios realizar los transbordos bajo condiciones seguras, cómodas y eficiente; los buses no tendrán la necesidad de ingresar al área urbana de la ciudad y en lugar de ello, los pasajeros que requieran llegar hasta algún lugar dentro en el casco urbano podrán hacerlo por medio del sistema de Transmetro tomándolo dentro de la misma terminal. De esta manera se garantiza que los problemas descritos son suplidos en su totalidad.

Barranquilla is characterized for being one of the most important cities in the region and the country in terms of economic and population development. The growth dynamic of the city has promoted a lot of benefits to the region, however it has also brought some problems that require an appropriate intervention in order to guarantee the competitive position of the city. The current situation shows that many users of the intermunicipal public transportation routes needs to use different buses in order to complete a journey, another problem is that there isn’t a specific bus stop, instead the buses are being parked on illegal places in the center of the city where they generate chaos and pollution.

With the purpose of ending these problems, INTERURBANA S.A.S have conduct a research of an economical and technical alternative to the current situation. It was possible to conclude that the best way to satisfy the needs of the intermunicipal public transportation in Barranquilla consist in the construction of a transport terminal that will be able to serve the users. The strategic position in which the terminal is placed will allow to group in a single location all the intermunicipal transport route of the Atlantic state, allowing the users to transport in a safe, comfortable and efficient way; the buses will not have the need to enter in the urban area of the city, instead, if the users needs to get to the urban area of the city they would take a Transmetro bus inside of the terminal. This way we can guarantee that all the problematic expose before can be solved.
