Writing is a process in which several steps should be followed in order to convey a clear message. Good writers take time to compile information, put it together and develop an ongoing revision procedure. Writing is considered to be a wide task since there are different approaches to deal with it. For that reason, it is important to enhance students’ awareness of the processes and improve it with the appropriate skills. On the other hand, the use of Technology has become one of the most interesting activities for students. For this reason the strategies and resources that teachers use in a classroom are very important to increase the learner’s motivation in the development of different skills. The target of this proposal is the Improvement of writing skills through the use of technology tools (wiki). To find ways of demonstrating how wiki can improve writing skills, the researcher selected five students with level low B1 at the language center of a private university on the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. An online survey was applied to the students involved in order to know in what ways they prefer to do writing tasks. Then, a training session was conducted to show how the wiki tools work. A post survey was answered by the students to find if there was a positive impact with the technological tool applied.
